Workers Compensation is the system of recovery set forth by the state of New Jersey where someone’s been injured on the job. The law provides that the exclusive remedy for a worker injured at work is against his employer under the Worker’s compensation Act. Now what does that mean? It’s kind of technical. It basically sets forth guidelines for what can be recovered and the limitations on your recovery and it doesn’t provide for pain and suffering damages and that is your exclusive remedy if you have Workman’s Compensation case.
