Slip and Fall
A generic term that can apply to a range of incident, "slip and fall" or "trip and fall" refers to an injury that occurs when someone slips, trips or falls because of a dangerous or hazardous condition on the property of someone else. This related issues, such as falls due to water, ice or snow, as well as abrupt and unmarked changes in flooring, poor lighting, or a hidden hazard, such as a gap or difficult to see hole in the ground. Millions are injured in slip and fall cases every year.
If, while on someone else’s property, you injure yourself due to a hazardous condition, there is a good chance that the owner of the property may be responsible for damages and conversely, if you own property and someone injures himself or herself on your property, you may be legally responsible for his or her injuries. Regardless, if a slip and fall case is arising, you should seek the counsel of an experienced personal injury attorney, who can handle your case in the most effective and efficient manner possible.
