A slip or trip and fall case involves slipping or falling in let’s say a parking lot of a store and you being injured. Now it’s a little more detailed than that. There has to be something wrong with, let’s say, the parking lot.

A good example would be ice in a parking lot. You’re walking along and you don’t see the ice and you slip and fall. The store has the responsibility of making the parking lot safe for it’s consumers or actually customers to walk from their car to the store.

If it’s not, if the snow isn’t cleared, if the ice isn’t cleared, if there’s no sand or salt, then there is a good chance that we could prove a claim of negligence against them. Or it could involve, for example, walking on a sidewalk, a defective sidewalk. A defective parking lot, anything of that nature.
