Major proposals considered this year by the Arizona Legislature: -- BUDGET: Lawmakers approved a $9.9 billion budget that at least temporarily erases a deficit projected at $2 billion. The gap was filled through spending cuts, raids on special funds, borrowing and deferrals of expenses into the next fiscal year. Gov. Janet Napolitano signed the budget bills Friday.
