Pediatric TBI

Well, a pediatric traumatic brain injury can take many different forms; your birth injuries where children are deprived of oxygen during birth and suffer a brain injury as a result of that. You also have children who suffer traumatic brain injuries in it falls an automobile accidents, equipment failures, playground accidents and there are very special needs and requirements when we have children because in addition to all of the challenges that we have in teaching our children, in rising them in language development and so on. When you have a traumatic brain injury, you have a much higher level of care that is required to bring that child along and you have special needs such as pediatric speech, pathologist who can work with children to develop language skills and you have the same in physical therapy, in occupational therapy and helping to train these children and bring them along. For many years, I have been involved here in Philadelphia at United Cerebral Palsy and United Cerebral Palsy serves the needs of children with disabilities just like this and you go to these places and you see the God’s work there, they are really doing to help these children and it’s really remarkable.
