Communication is the key for my practice for two reasons. Primarily it’s what keeps your clients happy. Clients want to know what is going on with my case, what’s happening with my claim, where are we now and where will we be in the future. And I’m happy to tell you.

The other part of the communication that is so important is so that I can make sure your claim is going the right way. Many lawyers do a good job communicating with you at the beginning, but I find that it’s the communication during your medical treatment that’s most important.

Over the years I’ve gotten a lot of calls, through some advertising I’ve done, from a lot of other lawyers’ clients who complain about the fact that they haven’t spoken to their lawyer for five or six months. Usually that’s not the problem with their claim, the problem has been that they haven’t been getting the medical treatment they need. So when you’re not talking with your lawy - -- your clients on a regular basis how do you make sure they’re getting their medical treatment, how do you know they’re happy with the medical treatment, how do you know anything without regular contact with your client.

We have a great tickler system set up here. We have, both my paralegal Donna and I rely heavily on for our communication with out clients. Most of the communication is done with my paralegal because it is informational. We just want to make sure you’ve got to the doctor, that you’re getting the treatment that you’re supposed to be getting and when you’re returning. I’m available for the lawyer communication when you have questions and you want to know what’s going on with your case then you talk to me.
